 Morality

Morality is an important subject. What is the difference between right and wrong?

What is the difference between getting a mathematics problem right and getting a relationship right?

These papers are explorations of the most important apsect of Innovation - high level, Moral, complex issues, which might be capable of being simplified and might not.

Whatever the complexity, in a world of growing Corporate Social Responsibility, a world of Partnerships and Stakeholders, Morality must be explored.

We can easily state our values, quite easily state our ethical principles, but talking about Morality needs some storytelling.

Morality is not going to be top of the agenda unless it can be made to deliver in business.

Using a TRIZ approach we explore how Morality issues can occur because of Contradictions between levels of the business

A solution whihc is highly moral at one level may present Moral Dilammas at another.

TRIZ deals with such Contradictions through an analysis of simple and complex innovations in systems.

  Mirrors on Mirrors

To move between system levels and innovate and deliver to some kind of moral principles we need to be able to reflect deeply.

These notes show how you can set up levels of reflection in groups.

This was tried and tested in a facilitators conference in 2003. The feedback - not easy - but wonderful!

  Morality and Speed Cameras

This paper is an attempt to look at the common phenomena of Speed Cameras and ask if TRIZ can be used in the search for a more 'Moral' solution, whatever that might be.

A Moral solution is one that has to 'Work' - that is it has to deliver results.

But it has to deliver results at all levels, not just safety but perhaps community also.
